Mandated Reporting
This is a 2-hour training. For providers requiring Mandated Reporter training. This training promotes child safety by increasing the knowledge of Mandated Reporters, explaining the process for reporting abuse, and identifying the signs of abuse and neglect. Upon successful completion of the training, the Mandated Reporter Certificate is granted by the Maine Office of Child and Family Services.
Period of Purple Crying
This is a 30-minute training on its own. Often combined with Infant Safe Sleep for a total 2-hour training. For providers supporting new parents & their infants. The Period of PURPLE Crying is an initiative to avoid abusive head trauma (shaken baby syndrome) by educating parents/caregivers and providers on the normal developmental phase of increased crying in early infancy. Topics covered include:
